检测什么?

这个试验检测血中茶碱或咖啡因的量。茶碱和咖啡因都是甲基黄嘌呤,这是一类可以使呼吸放缓或急促的药物。茶碱可以用于患哮喘的儿童和成人,也可用于患慢性阻塞性肺病(COPD)的成人.这是一种治疗周期短的支气管扩张药。茶碱太少就无法起到疗效,太多又会有毒性。慢性茶碱中毒会增加患癫痫的危险性。急性或慢性中毒都对生命有威胁。

茶碱也用于治疗早产儿呼吸暂停症状。但是枸橼酸咖啡因更常用。呼吸暂停可以调节体内的需氧量。早产儿呼吸暂停必须及时得到治疗并且严密监测,这两种药物都可以降低呼吸暂停的发生,咖啡因副作用比较少,因此,中毒风险也较低。高剂量时,症状类似于茶碱中毒后的情况。

建立和维持治疗剂量是有难度的。茶碱和咖啡因的水平需要经常监测,因为有效却不会导致中毒的药物浓度范围是很窄的,在某些情况下,服用的剂量可能与血中药物浓度无关。药物的代谢率个体间差异很大,年幼的和年老的人就比较低。药物浓度也受到以下情况的影响:例如肝脏疾病,甲状腺功能减退,急性感染或者疾病急性发作。许多药物会影响和干扰茶碱的代谢,使代谢加快或减慢。
